- According to the 26th Annual Report (U.S. Department of Education, 2004) 449,093 students that were between the ages of 6 and 21, were identified as having other health impairments. (National Association of Special Education Teachers - 2006/2007)
- The U.S. Department of Education states that 5,791,945 students received special educational services in the 2003-2004 school year and of that number, 7.6% (452,045 students) received special educational services because of other health impairments. (Project Ideal - 2013)
- IDEA confirms that the prevalence of AD/HD is difficult to determine but it is estimated that from 2 to 9% of all children are identified as having this condition. (Project Ideal - 2013)
- As of 2012, More than 10 million U.S. children under age 18 (14%) have ever been diagnosed with asthma; 6.8 million children still have asthma (9%). (Centers for Disease Control & Prevention - 2015)

- Around 1 in 4 people don't know they have diabetes - In 2005, 84 adults out of 5,864 - reported that they have been told by a doctor that they have epilepsy
- 40% of people with epilepsy are men, 60% are women
