Statistics:
"Nationally, 6.4 million U.S. children between the ages of 4 and 17 — or about 11 percent of all school-aged children in the country — had received a diagnosis of ADHD."(MinnPost, 2015)
"Currently 9.7% of children ages 4-17 are diagnosed with ADHD in Minnesota." (Disabilities, Disabilities and Prevention, 2015) *Trisha Roiger
In my field experience there are four 3rd grade level rooms. In my room we have 24 students and 0 with ADHD. In another room there's 23 students and 4 with ADHD. In another room there's 23 students and 3 with ADHD. In the last, but not least, there's 21 students and 2 with ADHD. There's 91 students and 9 of those students have ADHD, which is 9%.
